GREENSBORO, N.C. – After a solid outing at the Georgia Diving Invitational, NC State’s divers swept the weekly conference honors as sophomore Holt Gray was named ACC Men’s Diver of the Week and junior Madeline Kline was named ACC Women’s Diver of the Week.

The honors mark the first of the season for both individuals, who are the first members of the Wolfpack to earn designation as ACC Diver of the Week this season.

Gray competed in the finals of all three events at the Georgia Diving Invitational and finished inside the top 12 divers in all three. After opening the meet with a seventh-place finish and a Zone mark of 309.60 on the one-meter board, Gray secured a fifth-place finish on the three-meter. His 353.75 score was a personal best, and he hit 71 points on his final dive of the outing for one of the highest-scored dives of his career.

On the final day of the meet, Gray also went on to place 11th on the platform with a score of 277.20.

Kline capped off her time at the Georgia Diving Invitational with a win on the platform, an event in which she is the reigning ACC champion. She posted a Zone score of 255.70 on the way to earning her first event win of the season. Her mark was her best of the season and just points shy of her personal record on the platform.

She also reached the finals on the one-meter board, posting a season-best 281.65 in the finals to take fifth place.

Gray and Kline will join the rest of NC State’s swimmers and divers on Jan. 19 as the Wolfpack welcomes UNC-Chapel Hill to Raleigh.
