Earley, a senior at Hopkins School, is a versatile swimmer who qualified for 2016 Olympic Trials in the 100/200 back and 400 IM, but she also excels at the full range of freestyle events. Swimming for Hopkins School she won the 200 IM and the 100 back at the 2016 NEPSAC Division I Championships, and swam legs on both freestyle relays.

Earley trains year-round with Hopkins Mariner Swim Team. Her best SCY times are:

  • 100 back – 53.74
  • 200 back – 1:54.29
  • 500 free – 4:46.62
  • 1000 free – 9:43.18
  • 1650 free – 16:08.20
  • 200 IM – 2:01.98
  • 400 IM – 4:16.61

Earley brings big scoring potential to the Cavaliers. At 2016 ACC Championships, she would have been 5th in the 1650, A-finalist in the 200 back; a B-finalist in the 500 free, 100 back and 400 IM; and a C-finalist in the 200 IM.

Abby Richter, Carolina Gmelich, and Kyla Valls have also verbally committed to the Cavaliers’ class of 2021.

Random observation, Erin earley and Eryn eddy are both good mid-d/distance swimmers at UVA and Erin emery a good one at Minnesota. Funny how they are all around the same age, fast as similar things and have such similar names.
