Nat’l Teamer Jack Dahlgren has been Training Around the Country in a Camper Trailer

2025 TYR Pro Swim Series — Westmont

Video captured by Barry Revzin.

You might not know it from his swims at the Pro Swim in Westmont, but Jack Dahlgren‘s training has been a little all over the place. Literally. The national teamer has been traveling the country in a camper trailer with his girlfriend and training at various locations while also taking in national parks along the way.

Stops along the way for training include the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Arizona State, and the Mission Viejo Nadadores. They’ve also stopped at several National Parks, including Death Valley and the Grand Canyon.

I don’t know if he could have done this 35 years ago because the money and the sport is just different now, but I feel like Tom Jager would have loved to do this back then. Maybe a morning swim and a day hike. Think he did this without the traveling in New Mexico for a bit while still competing.

Sounds like a great life if you can do it. Good for Jack.
