Braden Holloway – His Take On hosting Georgia this weekend:
“I think anytime you welcome a team with such great success as Georgia has had in the pool it’s a great opportunity,” said head coach Braden Holloway. “They haven’t been to our pool in a long time and we’ve started a little bit of a home and home thing, where we were in Athens last year, we met in Savannah the year before that and they’re coming here this season. It’s a great experience for our team to learn and get better. We’re going against the best and we look forward to hosting such a great, storied program.”
On importance of a good crowd at the Georgia meet:
“I would love to get a lot of people in the stands. Our teams have gotten better. In the last four years, both teams have shot up into the top-20. We’re going to have plenty of alumni and parents there, but I would love to see some of the student body. They’re going to see some people they only get a chance to watch every four years in the Olympics.”
On the Dallas Morning Classic:
“It’s a situation where we have Georgia at home and we were invited to a historic meet. It made the decision tough, but I felt that it was important for our women to be at this meet. The meet has six teams and has several of the top programs in the country. It also is an opportunity for us to compete against several teams in the ACC that we don’t get to see often like Miami and Louisville.”
