Queens University junior Alexandra Marshall was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. Marshall was a member of Queen’s winning 4×100 freestyle relay at last year NCAA Championships and helped lead Queens to their first national team title as well.

Hodkgins Lymphoma is a form of blood cancer that affects the lymph system.
Marshall earned All-American honors last year in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 100 butterfly, 400 medley relay, and the 400 freestyle relay. She also earned Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 100 freestyle.

Good luck! I know personally that the diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is scary, but, I also know that you’ll get through it. I was diagnosed in the Fall of 1999, and now, almost 16 years on, I’m glad to be around. I’ve completed 9 marathons, 2 half-iron distance triathlons, and 3 full ironman races, not to mention lots of masters swimming events, so you have a long life ahead of you!
