NCAA Division 1 Meets To Watch For October 16th – 20th

This week features another strong slate of dual meets as well as some invitationals to keep an eye on.

After putting up shockingly fast times in their intrasquad meet, The Texas men return to the pool to take on interstate rival Texas A&M in what should be a very fast swim meet. Texas will look to continue putting up times like they posted in the intrasquad, and the should give an indication about who will be on the freestyle relays, as the 400 freestyle relay swimmers were not named in the official results from the intrasquad.

Wisconsin will also hit the road this weekend to take on Big Ten rival Minnesota. Minnesota is coming off a big wins over Arizona, while Wisconsin is coming off wins over Arizona and Arizona State on the men’s side. The Badger women split their victories, taking home a win over Arizona State but falling to Arizona.

The always fast SMU classic starts this weekend as well, featuring the women’s teams from NC State, Louisville, USC, LSU and Miami. Louisville and SMU finished one-two at last seasons AAC Championships which should make this meet a very fast meet and a great meet to watch.

Below, we’ve picked out all of the NCAA Division I meets that we could find. There’s a lot of teams, so we’re sure we’ve missed a few. Leave them in the comments and we’ll add them to our list.

Their pool is being renovated and enlarged to 50 meters and they are having to schedule meets at other facilities and around their schedules. I believe the date they have listed is the women’s classic. The last I heard when scheduling came out, the men’s classic was cancelled for this year. I normally work this meet as an official

I worked the Ladies intrasquad meet in September and I have a picture of an 18 wheeler sitting where the pool used to be. Was kinda sad.

Why is the SMU Classic so early this year?
