The final day of the NCAP Elite Qualifier was run as a timed finals session. Torri Huske, who didn’t race on Saturday, swam the women’s 100 free, touching in 55.54, winning the race, but touching off her personal best of 53.46. Former Harvard swimmer Miki Dahlke, who swims for Machine Aquatics, finished 2nd in the event, posting a 55.79. Dahlke’s time was just off her personal best of 55.57.
Huske went on to win the women’s 200 IM as well, clocking a 2:14.40. The swim was also well of Huske’s personal best of 2:11.18. Josephine Fuller, a NOVA 18-year-old, swam to a new Olympic Trials Wave I cut, finishing 2nd with a 2:16.08. The swim marked a 1.85-second drop, and came in under the Wave I standard of 2:17.39.
NOVA’s Zoe Dixon, 17, roared to a new personal best in the women’s 200 fly, winning the race in 2:12.29. The swim marked an improvement of 2.53 seconds, and brought Dixon from just outside the Wave I cut of 2:14.59, to under the Wave II cut of 2:12.56. NCAP’s Mackenzie McConagha, 18, swam a personal best of 2:12.78. McConagha entered the meet under the Wave I cut already, and touched just of the Wave II standard. Importantly, McConagha’s previous best of 2:13.20 was swum all the way back in August of 2019.
