Nevada Women Add Five Newcomers To 2017-18 Roster

The No. 7 ranked swimmer in the state of Nevada … A two-time finalist at the 2015 Nevada Sunset Regional Championships where she placed sixth in the both the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke … Finished with two top five placings at the 2016 NIAA Regional Championship, placing fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (59.60) and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.54) … Placed fourth at the 2017 NT Lakeside Stampede, swimming a 2:06.33 in the 200 SCY butterfly …Daughter of James Dockery and Michele Miles.

Bray on Dockery: “I want to not only make sure we are a great option for in-state swimmers, but those swimmers have to be able to come in and perform academically and help our team from a performance standpoint. I think Olivia will help continue our excellent academic culture and has potential to really be a contributor in the 200 butterfly. She comes from a great club and we are excited to have her join our team.”

A product of Ursynow Warsawa, Poland, she finished third in the 200-meter freestyle at the 2014 Polish Grand Prix … Won the 2016 Polish Junior Championship in both the 100 and 200 freestyle … Daughter of Jaroslaw and Anna Jankowska.

Bray on Jankowska: “Kaludia has a very strong work ethic and will have the opportunity to join a really special middle-distance freestyle group next season. All of her best times have come this past year and she is really on a great trajectory. She will be a great teammate I am looking forward to see what she does for us next season.”

Won the Wisconsin state championship in 2016 in the 100 breaststroke and finished second in the same event in 2017 … Ranked as the No. 135 recruit in the US Southwest Aquatic Team … Holds two records at her high school in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly relays … Helped lead her club team to its first ever LCM at the 13 and over state meet … Made two US Open cuts in the 100 and 200 breaststroke … Received multiple All-American honors with her times in the 100 breaststroke … Placed second in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke at the ISCA Junior Nationals … Daughter of Tom and Joan Stigler.

Bray on Stigler: “Lauren has a great personality and is very eager to turn the page into a new training program. I think she will be one of our team’s leaders and she has a great attitude. Lauren hasn’t had the opportunity to train with a large group of swimmers at her level to help push her each session and a combination of all of those factors makes me think she is going to really be a huge contributor to our program during her career here.

Why she chose Nevada: “I chose Nevada because it felt like a home away from home. The coaches and staff were all so welcoming with open arms. Coach Brendan is at the start of an improving program and I want to be a part of that. The campus at Nevada is beautiful with mountain views, the facilities are amazing and the team is wonderful. The girls are so close-knit and I felt that immediately, which is what I was looking for. I am glad I can call the swim team my new family and I cannot wait to see what my future and swimming career holds at Nevada.”

Watson has won the Hayley Lewis Award for outstanding swim performances in high school for the past three consecutive years … A two-time representative of the Queensland, Australian SC team championship … Named the 2016 girls Queensland SC team captain … Ranked No. 47 in the 2016 FINA World Rankings for the 50 backstroke … Was a multiple time finalist in the butterfly and backstroke at the Australian Age Championships, which acts as the Australian Junior Championships … Received a bronze medal at the 2014 Australian Age Championships in the 100 backstroke … Earned a silver medal at the 2015 Australian Age Championships in the 100 backstroke … Daughter of Scott and Bernadette Watson.

Bray on Watson: “Imogen comes from a close, supportive family and will be a great fit for us. I expect her to help us in the sprint backstroke and butterfly events, and I also value her experience at one of the world’s best club teams at St. Peters Western. She will also continue the proud history of Australian swimmers to join Nevada and follow in the footsteps of not only our three other current Australian swimmers, but Imogen attended the same high school as Wolf Pack great Lisa Mackie, which is very special. Imogen will be a great addition to our team and I can’t wait to work with her.”
