Lois Daigneault, the newly-hired coach of Canadian club the Kelowna Aquajets, is under a 7-year suspension from USA Swimming, according to a spokesperson for the organization.
A statement released from Colorado Springs says that she was suspended in December of 2014 for seven years after violating Articles 304.3.14 and 304.3.18 (below), but clarified that “the behavior that led to her suspension did not have anything to do with abuse or harm to children.”
Relevan sections of the USA Swimming Code of Conduct:
304.3.14/304.3.15 Any act of fraud, deception or dishonesty in connection with any USA Swimming-related activity.
304.3.18/304.3.19 Any other material and intentional act, conduct or omission not provided for above, which is detrimental to the image or reputation of USA Swimming, a LSC or the sport of swimming.
USA Swimming only posts permanent suspensions (AKA ‘bans’) publicly, but says they do notify the General Chair, Safe Sport Chair, and contacts at the member’s club when a suspension is handed down by the National Board of Review. They also say that they would be able to verify the membership status if someone were to call and inquire, even if that was a club in a foreign country.
Daigneault until December had been the head coach of the Santa Fe Aquatic Club in New Mexico where she was the founding coach. As a swimmer, she was a member of the Canadian National Team and a 13-time All-American at the University of Miami in the United States.
USA Swimming did not elaborate on the details of her suspension beyond what is above, and Daigneault has not yet responded to a request to share her side of the story.

That just sounded way too off center as her name would be way more known for 13 All-American titles!
nmhomey – that list you’ve linked to appears to only include First Team All-America honors. Daigneault’s 13, which is pulled from her Santa Fe Aquatics bio, likely includes Honorable Mention awards.
