Nick Folker, Jimmy Feigen & Kara Lynn Joyce to Lead “Elite Speed & Power Mini Camp”

Courtesy of the Fitter & Faster Swim Tour presented by SwimOutlet.com, a SwimSwam partner.

THIS IS A UNIQUE AND SCARCE OPPORTUNITY AND PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ARE SIGNING UP:

There is very limited space available for this Elite Level SPEED and POWER Swim Camp. Only swimmers capable of swimming faster than 54.99 for men and 58.99 in the 100 yard freestyle are eligible to attend. All participants will be in groups and lanes according to speed.

Feigen and Joyce are going to focus on how to engage the entire body to get maximum velocity out of every start, breakout, turn, and finish. Strength and conditioning expert Nick Folker will teach how to translate your strength from dryland and begin turning yourself into a vessel built for speed.

SPEED and POWER Swim Camp – Madison, NJ

RACE AND RECEIVE FEEDBACK: Start the clinic with a dynamic warm-up followed by a 100 freestyle time trial during which all clinicians will be on deck to give immediate valuable feedback

PRACTICE ADVANCED DRILLS: Learn elite level drills and technique for swimmers looking to take their racing to the next level

START MORE POWERFULLY: Learn the correct body position when doing a start from the blocks – which will enable participants to minimize wasted energy and maximize their power by entering the water with a tight bodyline

BEAT “FASTER SWIMMERS”: You are going to learn to absolutely and properly streamline your entire body to establish a “torpedoe” off the walls. Swimmers will leave this clinic with more confidence to hold the streamline – enabling them to go faster and further off each start and turn.

TIGHT FAST TURNS: Practice drills aimed at making turns explosive and efficient – allowing for more velocity off the walls and greater speed into the breakout

BECOME A STRONGER, MORE AGILE ATHLETE: On deck Olympian Nick Folker will teach strength and dryland exercises to improve athleticism and body aweareness, which transfer directly to increased power in the water

WIN BEFORE YOU GET WET: Spend time with each Olympian learning the little tricks they use to edge out the competition

LEARN “WHAT ELSE” THE BEST DO TO REMAIN THE BEST: Participate in an in-depth discussion with the athletes covering such topics as nutrition, mental preparedness, and training regimen.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take photos while wearing the athletes’ medals and get autographs. Swimmers will also receive a full color 2014 Fitter and Faster Tour Yearbook containing outstanding articles on nutrition, technique, racing and more, plus a special welcome bag that contains gifts from our sponsors.
