Nielsen and Bromer Shine at Danish Western Championships

Mie Nielsen and and Viktor Bromer stood out at the Danish Western Championships over the weekend.

Nielsen and Bromer won both of the events they swam.

Nielsen took the women’s 200 freestyle in a time of 2:03.51. She then followed that up by winning the women’s 100 backstroke in a time of 1:01.64.

Bromer posted a 1:57.61 to win the men’s 200 butterfly. He then took the men’s 100 backstroke, which was the very next event, in a time of 58.85.

There were three other swimmers that won multiple events over the weekend. Frans Johannessen won the men’s 200 freestyle (1:53.60) and 400 freestyle (4:08.12)

Line Jorgensen Bruun took the women’s 400 IM (5:03.06) and 400 freestyle (4:25.25).

Frederik Jessen won the men’s 400 IM (4:41.31) and 800 freestyle (8:42.30)

The Danish Eastern Championships were also run over the weekend.

Christina Munkholm took three events. Munkholm won the women’s 50 freestyle (26.55), 200 freestyle (2:03.20) and 200 butterfly (2:15.81).

Magnus Jakupsson won both the 50 butterfly (25.05) and 50 backstroke (26.18).
