(NLI Photos) Cal Lands Breaststroke Star Connor Hoppe

Clovis Swim Club star, Connor Hoppe, signed his NLI to the University of California at Berkeley.

The Golden Bears have landed a behemoth in the breaststroke. Hoppe’s been a 54.81 in the 100 yards breaststroke and a 1:03.48 in the 100 meters breaststroke. Hoppe’s solid at 200 meters, 2:19.52, but 200 yards appears to be where he’ll make his biggest drops under Cal Coach Dave Durden.

Standing 6’5 with 200+ pounds of muscle, expect Hoppe to be a pivotal player at the NCAA DI level.

Hoppe joins a class that includes Matt Whittle from Davis, California.

Great get for the Bears. I saw that Christian Higgins is not on the Cal Men’s roster. Is he sick, injured etc? I thought he was ready for a breakout year.
