(NLI Photos) Maine record-holder Colby Harvey to Florida State

Coastal Maine Aquatics senior Colby Harvey has signed on to swim with Florida State University beginning in the fall of 2014.

Harvey comes to FSU from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where she swims for the Wayneflete School and holds the Maine Class B state record in the 100 butterfly.

Harvey is a great butterflier, but also a versatile addition to FSU’s roster. She’s won the 100 fly three straight seasons at the Maine High School state meet, but also won the 200 free last year and tied for the 100 breast championship the year before.

She’ll join her former Coastal Maine Aquatics’ teammate Laura Flewelling, who transferred to Florida State from the University of Maryland last year.

Harvey’s Lifetime Bests:

  • 100 fly: 54.88
  • 200 fly: 2:03.26
  • 200 IM: 2:06.75
  • 100 fly (LCM): 1:03.14
