CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Northeastern swimming and diving team picked up a win over MIT (181-119) on Saturday afternoon at Zesiger Center Pool.
On the swimming side, sophomore Hannah Seward and freshman Anna Verlander had a strong day for the Huskies. Seward picked up wins in the 100 Fly (56.13) and 100 Yard IM (1:00.55), and Verlander won the 100 Yard Back (56.41) and the 200 Yard Back (2:03.01). The Huskies also had a strong day on the boards with senior Lauren O’Sullivan picking up a victory in the 1M Dive (229.80), and junior Lizzie Meschisen won the 3M Dive (255.25).
- The A quartet of Kira Parker, Marcela Scaramuzza, Seward, and Kotoko Blair finished first in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:45.71.
- The B quartet of Kate Cosgrove, Elisabeth Bendall, Emily Cooley and Angela Woronko finished third in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:48.33.
- Mary Banick touched the wall second in the 1000 Yard Free with a time of 11:03.18, and Coco Fraser finished fourth with a time of 11:23.34.
- Seward (1:54.39), Cooley (season-best 1:56.42), Devon Muldoon (1:56.42) finished second through fourth in the 200 Yard Free.
- Teagan Osga (season-best 57.71) and Cosgrove (58.86) finished second and third, respectively in the 1M Yard IM.
- Scaramuzza touched the wall second in the 100 Yard Breast with a time of 1:06.48.
- Blair won the 50 Yard Free (season-best 24.14), and Parker finished third (24.40).
- Erin Murphy (229.05), and Lizzie Meschisen (216.55) finished second and fourth in the 1M Dive.
- Blair also won the 100 Yard Free (season-best 53.06) and Parker finished second (53.69).
- Muldoon finished second in the 500 Yard Free (5:14.37), and Miller (5:15.61) and Banick (5:28.21) finished third and fourth.
- Scaramuzza finished second (57.47) in the 100 Yard Fly.
- O’Sullivan (239.10), and Murphy (235.35) finished second and third in the 3M Dive.
- Northeastern’s A quartet of Parker, Cooley, Verlander, and Blair won the 200 Yard Free Relay with a time of 1:36.93.
The Huskies will host Rutgers on Saturday, November 5. Events are slated to begin at 11.
