Norwegian National Team Swimmer Does Three Rubik’s Cubes, Underwater, in One Breath

Norwegian National Record holder Marius Solaat Rødland was originally named to Norway’s European Championship team this year, and was expected to represent the country well.

A back injury kept him out of that meet – but he’s arguably become even more famous in spite of it.

Rødland posted a video online where he solves three Rubik’s Cubes, underwater, in one breath. This has made him somewhat of a minor celebrity in his home country.

The Norwegian is not the world’s only swimmer who also excels in the art of the Cube. For a little throwback Thursday action, NCAA Division III swimmer Kevin Hays is a Rubik’s Cube World Champion. See that video here.

Rødland swam at the 2014 European Junior Championships, where he was as high as 14th in the 50 meter fly.

Note: as with all underwater challenges, there is a risk to anything done without breathing. Make sure you know what those risks are and fully understand them before undertaking any underwater challenge.

Apparently this principle has been copied from the swimmer and world record holder cuber Kevin Hays, mentioned in the article, who released a similar video before :

He solved a 2×2, 3×3 and a 4×4 cube underwater and with no breath.
