The Tokyo 2020 Games may have only just wrapped up, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start getting excited for the next Summer Olympics: Paris 2024.
We’re less than three short years away from what will be the first Summer Games hosted in France in 100 years, with Paris having also played host back in 1924.
Eager to show off its culture, scenery and overall vibe as Tokyo passes the Olympic baton to them, Paris 2024 has uploaded a few promotional videos to get you hyped for the Games.
Below, watch the “Rooftop Race” video, featuring athletes from several different disciplines in and around Paris:
You can also check out a rendition of the French National Anthem, The Marseillaise, performed by the National Orchestra of France, below.
The video includes the orchestra playing in some scenic areas around the city, and French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is featured at the end, playing the saxophone from the International Space Station (ISS).
Both promotional videos were featured during the closing ceremonies of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which saw the official passing of the Olympic baton to Paris. This was followed by a formation of eight fighter jets flying over the Eiffel Tower with red, white and blue exhaust:
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are scheduled to begin on July 26, 2024.
