Notre Dame Men’s Swimming Program Adds Late Signee to Class of 2019

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame men’s swimming team announced their early signees last November, and now have one more member to add to the incoming freshman class. Maciej Wojciech Olszewski committed to the Fighting Irish in late spring, becoming the fifth breaststroker in the class of 2019.

“Maciej is a very talented breaststroker, who narrowly missed the Olympic Trial standard. He will add to the depth of a breaststroke-rich class, who will be very fun to work with on a daily basis,” says head coach Matt Tallman.

Olszewski, who was born in Warsaw, Poland but now resides in Evanston, Illinois, chose Notre Dame for multiple reasons. “I chose this university because it provides a great balance of academics and athletics at a very high level. Next season, I look forward to expanding my training in the weight room and training with a great team,” he says.

The Irish open their 2015-16 season in traditional fashion, with the Dennis Stark Relay meet. Stay tuned to und.com for summer updates on the team.
