September 01st, 2013 Open Water

As of 4:30 Eastern Time on Sunday afternoon, 64-year old Diana Nyad is further north in her 5th attempt to swim from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida.

The latest update on her status, which came in about 30 minutes ago, said that at her 1PM feeding break, Nyad “mentioned pressure on her lungs, but no trouble breathing

Track Nyad’s swim here on her blog.
