Nyls Korstanje on Wolfpack Relay Win: “There’s something special in the water here”

2023 NCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

NC State Wolfpack’s 200 medley relay destroyed the NCAA and US Open record by almost half a second last night. The relay squad of Kacper Stokowski, Mason Hunter, Nyls Korstanje and David Curtiss clocked a 1:20.67, a second faster than what they swam at this meet last year.

Korstanje details what it was like coming into this race, flying under the radar. “We didn’t go in as the favorites, and being the underdog is great,” Korstanje said, “we’re just here to show that we’re not underdogs.”
