Ohio State Makes It Nine With Kathleen Cook

The Buckeyes keep building on their 2014 incoming class, with still many weeks left in early signing. Kathleen Cook from Dynamo Swim Club out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Dynamo Swim Club has developed some very fast swimming in the club swimming scene. Cook is a very raw swimmer herself, consistently dropping time throughout her high school years.

Her main event by far is the 200 freestyle, now at 1:50.3, dropping a second each year throughout high school. Her other freestyle events are 24.0/51.4/4:59.7 for the 50/100/500 events. Outside the freestyles, Dorenkott and Hinkleman can work with her 59.7 100 backstroke, 58.2 100 butterfly, 2:07.3 200 IM.

In long course, 27.1/58.0/2:05.4/4:25.9 50, 100, 200, 400 freestyles are very comparable to her short course times. Her 100 freestyle time stands out amours the others, but her 1:07 100 backstroke could also be potential second and third events for her.

Dorenkott has a track of developing raw swimmers, who consistently progress through high school to Big Ten finalist and NCAA scorers. Sam Cheverton, Alex Norris, Shannon Draves, Kelsey Moran, and Kelly Ann Baird to name a few.
