The CSCAA (College Swimming Coaches Association of America) has released its lists of individual Scholar All-Americans for the 2014 season. In the NAIA, Oklahoma Baptist nabbed the most women’s honors, while Concordia led the men. Meanwhile Monroe Community College picked up 5 of the 8 Scholar All-America awards given out in the NJCAA, the Junior College athletic league.
The Oklahoma Baptist women picked up 7 Scholar All-America honors, topping Concordia and Saint Mary by two on the women’s side. Concordia had the most men on the list, though, with 6 total.
Between men and women, Oklahoma Baptist again led, putting 12 total athletes on the list to Concordia’s 11.
Scholar All-America awards honor athletes who maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher while qualifying for and competing at the national championships in their division (in these cases, the NAIA Championships or NJCAA Championships). Honorable Mention goes to athletes who hold a 3.5 GPA or higher while hitting a “B” cut in their division.

Monroe Community College and Iowa Lakes Community College were the only two schools listed on the NJCAA awards. Monroe had 5 Scholar All-Americans, 3 women and 2 men. Meanwhile Iowa Lakes had 1 woman and 2 men honored.
