Open Turn: College Conference Weekend, Round 2

Chris Desantis and Garrett McCaffrey discuss another fantastic start to another conference championship weekend. Chris was on deck for a dramatic night one at ACCs and he tells us about the atmosphere on deck at a very competitive meet in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our SwimSwam Poll of the Week asks which team will win the women’s Pac 12 title, and after night number one from Federal Way, Washington some viewers may want to change their vote. Down in Austin it’s the home team showcasing their strength over a new look Big 12. And up in Bloomington, Michigan looks like they’ve looked all year long… really fast. All that in this week’s conference wrap up edition of Open Turn.

College Championship Season is fun! I’m following the conference meets, and I’ve really enjoyed watching the Big East Championships. I’m kind of sad that Garrett and Chris didn’t highlight that meet.

For the first minute or so, the audio doesn’t match the video. DeSantis looks like a Saturday morning kung fu movie…

Michigan will be top 4 at NCAA’s but they wont score over 320 points…which will NOT win…mark my words…

You completely ignored IU (too busy praising as MIchigan as winning NCAA’s already) who is right there with MIchigan. They had an outstanding morning session.

I guess we have very different definitions of “right there”. Even accounting for Diving, Michigan has seven more scoring opportunities tonight. They should pad their lead over IU.

All the credit in the world to the IU divers, but last I checked this website was called SwimSwam. Michigan rocked every other team in the swimming portion of the meet. Indiana had the 2nd best team performance but it wasn’t that close. It’s a long meet, that’s just my take on this prelims session, it could change based on what I see in finals.
