Two New York Swimmers To Cross Massachusetts Bay This Week
Early this morning, under sunny but windy skies, 54-year-old Paul Rekoff of New York, NY, set off from White Horse Beach in Plymouth, Mass., bound for Provincetown and a 20-mile swim to Cape Cod. He’s hoping to complete the P2P crossing today, and on Saturday, August 17, Mo Siegel, 62, of Piermont, NY, will also attempt the long distance swim. Nilsson Defends Boston Light Swim Title – Complete Race Results
Nilsson, a Boston-area native currently residing in Honolulu, HI, never let the lead slip, and finished in a stellar 2 hours 45 minutes and 51 seconds. He was followed by Rob Jones of Charlottesville, VA, who ran up on shore some 17 minutes later. The third place male finisher was Richard McKern of Summit, NJ, finishing in 3:09:35.
