Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas this year hired alumnus Steven Bostick to guide their program to the top of the Division II New South Intercollegiate Conference. He recently picked up Louisiana High School double finalist, Susannah Frith.
Frith joined the swim team her freshman year of high school at Westminster Christian Academy in Opelousas, LA. She liked it so much that after high school season ended she began club swimming at Crawfish Aquatics in Lafayette, LA and quickly found success.
Suzannah specializes in the 200 & 500 freestyle and the 100 & 200 breaststroke. Susannah has been part of the Louisiana State Team for the past three years and just recently placed 2nd in the 200 free and 4th in the 500 freestyle at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Meet.
Her coach at Crawfish Aquatics, Thomas Clavier, told SwimSwam, ” We are truly blessed to have had Susannah be part of our program. She has made the team better with her positive attitude and she has always supported the younger girls on the team. She leads by example and she will be missed dearly.”
In addition to swimming, Susannah also participates in school choir and church choir. She also plays keyboard and sings in her school’s chapel band and her church’s HS praise band. She has taken piano lessons for 13 years. Last summer, she volunteered at Boys and Girls Club. She is planning to major in Secondary Math Education at Ouachita.
“When I visited OBU, I really felt at home with the swim team. They seemed to really love being a part of their team, and that is really important to me.”
