STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific swimming team took on UC Santa Cruz in its home-opening dual meet at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center. Both the men’s (1-0) and women’s (1-1) teams emerged with wins in what was a beautiful afternoon for racing, to start their regular season off on the right foot.

After a wakeup call at the end of September for the women’s team, the Tigers regrouped and refocused to take on UC Santa Cruz with a different edge. Even though they were still battling through injuries and had multiple Tigers racing in events for the first time, it was obvious that they found their new rhythm. The women came away with the 168-82 win over the Banana Slugs.

The men’s team also captured its first win of the season, downing UC Santa Cruz in a similarly dominant fashion. The Tigers beat the Banana Slugs 188-82.

More information will follow regarding race results after some technical difficulties. Stay tuned!
