Palo Alto Stanford’s Alexandra Hartman Verbally Commits to Reno

Alexandra Hartman, from Mountain View, California, has announced her commitment to swim for University of Nevada, Reno for the 2017-2018 year.

“I chose UNR because of the diverse international team, the incredibly dedicated coaching staff and the beautiful location. I felt at home with all the girls on the team, and I felt that Coach Brendon and JoJo were invested in every athlete achieving their goals. The team and coaches also really seemed to value the balance between athletics and academics, which is really important to me! I can’t wait to be part of the wolf pack and contribute to an already high achieving team!”

Hartman swims for Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics under coach Joey Sementelli, where she specializes in IM, freestyle and breaststroke. Swimming for Mountain View High School, Hartman is a six-time CIF-Central Coast Section finalist. She competed in the 100 free and 100 breast as a freshman, the 100 free and 200 IM as a sophomore, and the 100 free and 200 IM as a junior, which she repeated at the 2016 California State Championships.

Her best SCY times are:

  • 200 IM – 2:05.01
  • 400 IM – 4:25.36
  • 100 breast – 1:06.18
  • 200 breast – 2:22.60
  • 100 free – 52.54

Hartman will join Georgia’s Caitlyn McHugh in the UNR class of 2021.
