14 of Brazil’s top swimming athletes are heading to Flagstaff, Arizona this week for a training camp designed to gear up for the Pan Pacific Championships and Youth Olympic Games.
SporTV reports that the group comprises about half of a split-squad Brazilian national crew, with the other half training in Spain in preparation for the French Open later this week.
The trip to Arizona should provide the team with a new locale to train and bond, and also allows the swimmers to get away from Brazil, which is currently packed with foreigners and tourists as the World Cup continues.
