Peaty Posts 2nd Fastest 50 Breaststroke Ever At British Nationals

British breaststroker Adam Peaty won his second breaststroke championship of the week in the 50m breast at British Nationals.

Peaty touched over a second ahead of the field in the short event, clocking a 26.48 for the second fastest time in history. Peaty couples this title with the 100m breaststroke gold that he took home last night after finishing in the 4th fastest time in history.

He now holds the top four performances in history in the 50 meter breaststroke and eight of the top ten. The full top time performances all time are:

Euan Ingles touched in second at 27.65.

Peaty is not in the psych sheets for the 200m breaststroke later this week at British Nationals. He did swim the 200 distance in 2015 at this event but did not compete in the event at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
