Day 1 of the 2014 FINA World Cup stop in Doha, Qatar began with prelims on Wednesday morning. While the meet was generally pretty sleepy in a largely noncompetitive prelims, all of the stars pulled through to finals. Katinka Hosszu was the standout with a new World Cup record, and as far as we can tell, the second-fastest 200 free ever swum in textile.
