That was more of a political thing in between the old and new CBDA administration. Now it looks like everything is solved. The athletes mostly were in the new admin side, which ended becoming elected again.

We see a lot of brazilian guys swimming very well in the Brazil Trophy every year but they never compete at the same level at Olympics/PanPacs/Worlds. What’s the problem??

França and Joao went 59 mid on Trials and 59 low/mid on Olympics
Fratus went faster on World than Trials with a 21,27
The 100 free Finalists went near their PB but went to 3:10 on Relay… I do not see them going so bad..

they will be the biggest threat to the Us 400 free relay win for a few years now – which is great by the way . It will push each team to be at their best this summer , and further years .

You have cited three cases in the universe of more than 20. Joao and Franca swam 59.0 before Olympics

Taking the top 16 only but 4 where for the 4×100 the problem might be today after the 200 to see if they take more as it can be good after the 4×200 splits

Nothing is gonna be “blazing fast” compared to Morozov’s 21.94 in 2013

Fratus said he was not 100% for this meet, probably aiming for a 21,6 21,7 which is enough to Qualify for Pan Pacs
