Pointe-Claire Big Winners on the Final Night of the Eastern Canadian Open

The Pointe-Claire Swim Club were the big winners on the final night of the 2015 Speedo Eastern Canadian Open. The team came away with three individual and one relay gold.

Spencer Bougie won the men’s 17 and over 50 freestyle in a time of 23.48.

Katrina Brathwaite took the women’s 15 and under 200 IM posting a 2:23.02 while Kevin Bertrand won the men’s 16 and under event in a time of 2:10.60.

The Pointe-Claire men’s 200 medley relay team took the event with a time of 1:45.57.

Mabel Zavaros of the Oakville Aquatic Club joined Tessa Cieplucha, Mary-Sophie Harvey and Liam Veregin as a triple gold medalist. Zavaros won the women’s 15 and under 200 butterfly in a time of 2:20.51.

Zavaros’ teammate Lauren Lalumiere took the women’s 16 and over event in a time of 2:19.84.

Sebastian Paulins of the Brantford Aquatic Club took the men’s 16 and under 200 butterfly in a time of 2:06.06 while Zack Chetral of the Toronto Swim Club took the 17 and over event in a time of 2:00.92.

Christiane Konstantopoulos of the RAMAC Swimming Club took the women’s 15 and under 50 freestyle in a time of 26.74 while Sarah Fournier of CNQ took the 16 and over event in a time of 26.32.

Ethan Fazekas of the Windsor Aquatic Club won the men’s 16 and under 50 freestyle in a time of 24.20.

Danielle Hanus of the Newmarket Stingrays took the 16 and over 200 IM in a time of 2:18.78 while Christian Ng of the Markham Aquatic Club won the men’s 17 and over event in a time of 2:06.71.

Jong Hoon Lee of Etobicoke Swimming won the 16 and under men’s 1500 freestyle posting a time of 16:32.58 while Nicolas Masse-Savard of CNG won the 17 and over event in a time of 16:09.53.

The CNQ women’s 200 medley relay team took the event in a time of 1:57.87.
