Yeah, a lot of factors play into this now. Can Grevers hold his taper together for London? Can Lacourt regain his 2010 form? He’s not exactly mr. Consistency

Incredible depth in this race. As a french yes, I can say Camille Lacourt was very optimistic about the race because he hadn’t many opponents uner 53 seconds. Ryosuke Irie isn’t a problem for him. He hasn’t good underwaters and good turns. But 52.08 is another story. It’s a monster time. Finally Matt Grevers has made a time I expected from him for many years. Yes american backstroke industry works definitely much better than american freestyle distance industry on the men’s side.

Monster swim by Grevers and really happy to see him step up in the absence of Piersol and Lochte in the event. I hope he has a good 200bk as well this meet, but not sure he can hold off Clary and Lochte.

Amazing swim by Grevers.

Unless Franklin breaks the 200 back WR, this 52.08 is the swim of the meet.

Agree with you. And if Missy isn’t tired she can do it. But I’d prefer she swims a world record at the olympic games.
