FORM is swim goggles with a smart display. FORM is a sports technology company with a simple mission: to break down the barriers between what swimming is and what it could be.
After the Pro Swim Series stop in Greensboro, SwimSwam embarked on the East Coast Pancake Tour 2019. This tour will be taking fans to various swimming programs along the east coast for Practice + Pancakes, Beyond the Pancakes, and maybe a few more pancake goodies thrown in.
This is just a sneak peak into what NC State was cooking up on the Tuesday afternoon SwimSwam came to Raleigh, but we thought it made a good enough stand alone. 3 post grads in Paul Le, Andreas Vazaios, and Chris Reid were getting some power work in, but going for speed as well.
The game is simple. They had to get the weight to the top of the rack in under 6 seconds. If they went over 6 seconds, they have to drop weight. The last one standing at the normal weight wins.
so that is more like what speed should be trained like…. kudos…..
Just swim till the thing stops.
Hi Paul 👋
How much faster might Tom Jager, a Robin Leamy & Matt Biondi have been with these training techniques? Or Rick Carey in the 100 back? I think today’s elite athletes are better, but to consider the variables for the guys back in the day is fun to consider.
I think about that all the time!!
I can’t help but think how much faster I’d have been, to be honest. I was a sprinter and back in the day, spring specific training meant one less 400. All the speed & technique work and the weights everyone does know; I loved that stuff.
This looks fun
