FORM is swim goggles with a smart display. FORM is a sports technology company with a simple mission: to break down the barriers between what swimming is and what it could be.
If you haven’t seen out first practice with the Virginia Wahoos, you might want to check that out here. Just as that practice was concluding, another main set was merely beginning on the other side of the pool. Coaches Blaire Bachman and Tyler Fenwick were running a lactate set for the 3rd Friday in a row. Todays set was more geared toward getting them race ready for the then-upcoming Tennessee invite, however, as the Hoos only had 4 broken swims off the blocks: 2×200, and 2×100.
We tried something a little different with this video format, cutting out a lot of the B-roll and action shots and simply showing you a collection of swims that we captured during the course of the practice. Let us know what you think! If you like it, if you don’t like it, tell us in the comments below.
It gives the strength coach something to do.
I would like to see more explanation from the coaching staff on the reason for the practice and what they are looking to get out of them. Most of the time its just swimming highlights with a soundtrack, but do like there is more swimmer interaction on the video.
Agreed. I like the structured format a little better, it is easier to understand what is going on.
Really like this format!
Haters are going to hate, but this was a really fun, personal, inside look at an exciting college swimming program. Loved the combination of swimming footage and swimmers being funny/goofy. Great editing, would love to see more videos like this.
Uva is so overrated change my mind
Feel sad for you disbelievers hoo don’t get that the hype is REAL #nofakenews
Wait we actually be raging & lol watching your team in our rearview mirror #gohoos
What exactly does “first fiddle” mean?
Enough of UVA already! Get another program for a change.
No need to!! The Hoos are all you need my friend.
Agree with NATAS. Lots and lots of pressure on Douglas and Walsh to perform. One misstep and the Whoofans may eat you alive.
Yes- lots of a pressure on a swimmer who isn’t even on campus. Bad troll.
HAHAHA, They thought Walsh was at UVA right now! Agreed, bad troll job.
I wanna see Florida or Florida state
This series is as much about showing how teams become successful as much as giving the kids their shot in the “limelight.” Obviously they’ve done Virginia a lot, but that is because their coaching is novel and innovative and stands to be a large part of why they are becoming more successful with each passing day. I do agree that they should switch it up to show us how other teams do it (maybe even some mid-major or DIII teams to make the series more inclusive), but for now they have enough material on Virginia to keep rolling out segments. And at any rate, the ”DeSorbo Watch” and it’s eye popping times make Virginia’s episodes that much more interesting.
Hi Natas, we have posted practice & pancakes with dozens of programs in the last year. If you’d like to watch videos with other programs, you can see them here: https://staging.swimswam.com/video/practice-pancakes/
You mean like the 20+ other programs they’ve visited?
If you read, this was from before the TN invite, so it was the same practice as the other one they posted, it’s not like they are camped out there… this was all from the same day.
The P+P some people have been waiting their entire lives for…
