OAK sends 28 Hopefuls to Canadian Olympic Trials

Oakville Aquatic Club are counting down the days and hours to the 2016 Canadian Olympic & Para Swimming Trials. OAK is sending 28 athletes along to the Trials being held at Toronto Pan Am Sport Centre, each hoping to represent Canada in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

5 Catamounts Named to America East Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team

Five members of the University of Vermont women’s swimming & diving program have been named to the America East All-Academic Team. Stefi Geiger, Abby Holmquist, Sarah Mantz,Elena Melloni, and Maggie Preston received the honor from the conference as UVM comprised five of the 13 honorees.

IOC awards 2018-2024 broadcast Rights in New Zealand & Pacific Islands

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded SKY Network Television Ltd the right to broadcast the XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020, the XXIV Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and the Olympic Games 2024, the host city of which has yet to be elected.

Indiana’s Lilly King was named unanimous Big Ten Swimmer of the Year, while Minnesota’s Yu Zhou was the unanimous pick for Big Ten Diver of the Year.

Brandeis University’s Zotz Earns Hall of Fame Honors

Jim Zotz is being inducted in the Brandeis University Hall of Fame in the contributor category. Zotz is considered the architect of Brandeis Swimming and Diving, serving as the program’s head coach of both the men’s and women’s teams from 1978 to 2010.
