Wisconsin’s Matt Hutchins was named swimmer of the week after winning the 1,000 (8:58.45) and 500 (4:22.96) against USC. His teammate Clark Carter earned diver of the week and freshman of the week.

Illinois Swimming & Diving Heads for Iowa State, Iowa

Following a pair of successful winter training trips, the Fighting Illini swimmers and divers have reunited and will head to a pair of weekend competitions. First on Friday, the Orange and Blue will head to Ames, Iowa, for a dual meet with Iowa State. A day later, UI will take on the Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Iowa.
