Pro Swim: Curzan Scala Il Ranking Nei 50 Farfalla/200 Dorso-Recap Day3

2023 PRO SWIM SERIES – MISSION VIEJO

Si è conclusa la penultima serata di finali delle Mission Viejo Pro Swim Series 2023.

Tra i risultati più rilevanti, Lilly King ha vinto i 50 metri rana con il tempo di 30.09. Il tempo è più veloce di quello ottenuto a Westmont e a soli cinque centesimi dal suo record stagionale di 30.04 realizzato a Ft. Lauderdale.

 Claire Curzan e Torri Huske si sono fatte notare nei 50 farfalla femminili. Curzan ha vinto davanti alla sua compagna di squadra di Stanford per due decimi, toccando in 25.88, mentre Huske si è guadagnata il secondo posto con un 26.08.

La velocista Abbey Weitzeil ha reso le cose interessanti nel tratto finale, spingendo Huske fino alla piastra. Weitzeil si è classificata terza in 26,15, migliorando di 0,11 secondi il suo record di sempre e migliorando il risultato ottenuto a Westmont. Kelly Pash  si è piazzata quarta con un tempo di 26.70, che segna la prima volta che scende sotto i 27 secondi.

Circa 15 minuti dopo aver vinto i 50 farfalla, Claire Curzan è tornata in acqua e ha vinto i 200 metri dorso con il tempo di 2:07.78. Si tratta di un tempo di circa mezzo secondo superiore al record personale di 2:07.31 dell’aprile 2022.

Il tempo la colloca all’ottavo posto del ranking mondiale stagionale
