Pro Swim Series: Kylie Masse E Justin Ress Record Nei 50 Dorso-Recap Finali Day2

TYR PRO SWIM SERIES – KNOXVILLE

Dopo che la prima notte di gare ha visto solo le finali cronometrate degli 800 stile libero, il secondo giorno presenta la prima sessione completa di finali del meeting. Il programma è fitto, con le finali dei 200 stile libero, 100 rana, 50 dorso, 100 farfalla e 400 IM.

Tra i risultati più interessanti della sessione, nei 50 metri dorso maschili e femminili sono stati battuti i rispettivi record delle Pro Swim Series.

Kylie Masse ha stabilito un nuovo record delle Pro Swim Series vincendo i 50 dorso femminili in 27.38, abbattendo il precedente record Pro Swim di Olivia Smoliga di 27.43 del 2018. Smoliga è arrivata terza nella finale A (28.07) dietro a Katharine Berkoff (27.80) e Masse, al suo primo incontro dopo i Trials dello scorso aprile.

Il tempo di Masse è stato di appena un paio di decimi di secondo inferiore al suo miglior tempo di 27,18 dello scorso aprile. La ventiseienne canadese è reduce dal titolo mondiale conquistato l’estate scorsa, con il tempo di 27.31.

Il campione del mondo 2022 Justin Ress si è imposto su un campo di 50 dorso di grande talento, vincendo decisamente in 24.49. La sua nuotata ha segnato il nuovo record delle Pro Swim Series di circa due decimi. Il precedente record di 24,66 era detenuto da Michael Andrew, che lo aveva nuotato nell’aprile del 2019. Le gare sui 50 metri non venivano disputate nelle Pro Swim Series dal 2019.
