WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Led by six Boilermakers that won an individual event at a third straight meet, Purdue swimming & diving’s 17 event victories was enough for a pair of team wins Saturday at the 10-team Dan Ross Indiana Intercollegiate to cap the home-opening weekend.

The Boilermakers swept the diving events and relays. The women won nine of the 12 events and the men were victorious eight times.

Love, Modglin, Samuels, Shaw and Wright all won three events during the weekend.

Wright swept the springboard diving events for the second time this season and for the fourth time as a Boilermaker. Miller moved into 13th place in program history with a winning list score of 375.15 on 1-meter. Higbie and Miller finished 1-2 on 3-meter, with Higbie registering his first collegiate victory in the process.

Hannah Hill and Love contributed to both relay winners for the Purdue women. Idris Muhammad impressed with a 50 freestyle split of 19.14 on the anchor leg of the 200 medley relay to open the meet.

Eight different members of the men’s team contributed to a relay winner for Purdue. The seniors were victorious in the 200 medley relay as all four classes fielded a quartet to race against each other in the first event of the day.

The Boilermakers return to action the weekend of Nov. 3-4 when they host Oakland and the Rutgers women for a two-day dual at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center.
