The women’s 200 IM final at Los Angeles Invitational was a classic race between two women who face each other regularly in the event: Stanford Swimming’s Maya DiRado and Caitlin Leverenz of California Aquatics.
Lane 1 is at the top of your screen. DiRado is in lane 4; Leverenz in 5.
Lane 1: Noelle Tarazona 2:19.19
Lane 2: Ella Eastin 2:17.85
Lane 3: Mikkayla Sheridan 2:15.79
Lane 4: Maya DiRado 2:12.30
Lane 5: Caitlin Leverenz 2:12.67
Lane 6: Celina Li 2:16.08
Lane 7: Kelly Naze 2:17.81
Lane 8: Caroline Piehl 2:19.35
Leverenz always seems to win it on the strength of her breast and hold on during free, but with Hoff and Margalis both ranked in the top 50 of the world in breast (Hoff-100, Margalis-200) as well as the 200 free, that strategy might not work.
I think it will be Hoff and DiRado in the 200 im for pan pacs and 2015 worlds 😉
Wow! Much better camera angle than yesterday. 😎
Stay at the same place for the 100 back of Missy today. It’s perfect.
Thanks for the videos.
Beautiful pool. Beautiful weather.
It looks like we’ll have a 4 girls battle at US nationals for 3 qualifying spots between Margalis, Leverenz, DiRado and Hoff.
