Record Olympic ‘A’ Cut Se Lekar University Tak- Indian Swimming Me Girawat

2023 tak Indian swimmers ko ‘A’ qualification marks tak pahochane ki ambition ke saath, JSW ke Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) ne Ballari me apne Vidyanagar facility me Mizuho Bank Limited ke saath partnership me ak swimming programme start kiya hai.

Total 35 events me 111 medals ke saath swimming Olympics me sabse rewarding disciplines me se ak hai. Halanki, India ne sports me koi significant international success haasil karne ke liye struggle kiya hai.

IIS ke Founder Parth Jindal ne Tuesday ko program ki announcement ke liye held ak press conference me kaha, “Hamare liye ‘A’ category qualification haasil karna success ka first parameter hai.”

“Halanki hume poori ummeed hai ki hamare kuch swimmers Los Angeles 2028 tak aisa kar sakte hain but iss program ki success or failure 2032 Queensland Olympics dwara decide ki jayegi. Agar hum 2032 Games me ak bhi ‘A’ qualification produce nahi kar paate hain toh hum ye kahe sakte hain ki venture successful nahi nahi raha. Ye hamari expectations hain,” Jinda ne add karte huye kaha.

IIS ke CEO Rushdee Warley ne kaha, “8-10 saal pahle kon janta tha ki hamare paas India se athletics me Olympic gold medalist hoga?” “ Neeraj Chopra ne unthinkable kar dikhaya. Hamare swimming programme se bhi yahi hope hai,” South African ne kaha.

2023 me start kiye gaye IIS Swimming Programme me do atyadhunik pool hain jo swimmers ko iske high performance centre tak access allow karte hain. Athletes ko Arilson Champam ke under technical coaching provide ki jaati hai saath hi sports science, strength and conditioning, nutrition, education, mental health and residential facilities ka support bhi diya jata hai.

Mizuho-Corporate & Institutional Banking (India) ke Senior Managing Director & Head Piyush Agarwal ne kaha, “Honestly bolun toh hamare liye sabse tempting sport Judo tha because isme Japanese angle hai.” “But we thought ki sabse worthwhile sport swimming hai because iske liye lambe time tak commitment ki jarurat hogi aur ye India me hamara first CSR investment hai.”

Swimmer Maana Patel ke saath Kushagra Rawat, Ishaan Mehra, Astha Choudhary, Ashmita Chandra and Bikram Changmai iss high performance program ke part hain. Sport me IIS ki expertise Odisha me iske satellite centre tak bhi extended hai Jahan Odisha Government ke saath partnership me ‘Learn to Swim’ program ke through 4000 se jada youngsters ko train kiya jata hai.

Achhi facilities tak pahochne me hui difficulties ko yaad karte huye Maana ne bataya ki unhone Ahemdabad me without backstroke flags or lane lines ke ak pool me swimming start ki. Olympian ne kaha ki ye keval paani se bhara ak pool tha.

Tokyo 2020 Games me India ko represent karne wali 24 years ki backstroke specialist ne kaha, “Isliye lambe time tak mujhe apne head ko finish wall se takrane ka dar laga rahta tha.”

“Isne mujhe pichhe dekhne aur kuch seconds ki keemat chukane ke liye force kiya. Maine isi tarah se start kiya. But aaj aisa kuch dekhne se mujhe apne juniors ke liye sach me bahot khushi ho rahi hai, jinhe aage badhne ke liye itni great opportunity mil rahi hai. I wish ki mujhe ye chance tab milta jab main bahot chhoti thi,” Maana ne kaha, jo iss program dwara poori tarah se funded and supported 30 high potential swimmers me se ak hain.
