On day 4 of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, we’ll see swimmers compete in the 100 free, 200 breast, and 800 free relay on the men’s side. On the women’s side, the 200 fly is the only event being swum in prelims.
There were no scratches in the women’s 200 fly, but Argentina’s Virginia Bardach Martin has been added in after initially entering in only the IM races. She’s now entered in this race with a 2:11.04 seed time.
As reported earlier, Russian sprinter Vlad Morozov was approved to compete in Rio despite initially being banned as a result of being named in the MacLaren report. He’s already swam as part of Russia’s 4×100 free relay, but today he’ll swim individually for the first time. Morozov has been added back in to the men’s 100 free, where he’s entered with a 48.06.
Aside from adding Morozov, there were no changes in the men’s entries for day 4 prelims.
