Rio 2016 Venue Construction Progress: Updated Time Lapse Video

The Brazilian Ministry of Sport has released a new video, which shows promising progress across several key venues hosting events for the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Watch as the video time lapses progress from July to August within Rio’s two largest venue clusters, Barra Olympic Park and Deodoro Olympic Park.  As comparison, you can view the previously released video of progress as of July here.

Specific to the aquatics-related sites, the Brazilian federal government website also provided the following information:

Olympic Aquatics Stadium – Barra Olympic Park
Sports: swimming (Olympic and Paralympic), water polo
Current situation – The metallic frame of the stands has been completed, while work on the roof and inner areas are ongoing. Construction of the competition pool is in an advanced stage.
