Rio Twitter Recap Day 5: Ledecky Impresses Yet Again

2016 RIO OLYMPIC GAMES

Katie Ledecky, who has yet to disappoint at these Games, anchored the 4×200 free relay to gold despite going into her leg with almost a full second deficit.

Ledecky, who split a very quick 1:53.74, has shown us that she can handle the sprintier events pretty darn well. The United States had another strong night, with Ledecky, Allison SchmittLeah Smith, and Maya Dirado grabbing the gold in the 800 free relay, Josh Prenot snagging a silver in the 200 breast, and Nathan Adrian earning the bronze in the 100 free.

Twitter reacted most enthusiastically, however, to Ledecky. Let us be reminded that that she is the youngest member of the swim team of Team USA.
