Russians to Create a Coin to Honour the World Championships in Kazan

To honour the 16th FINA World Aquatic Championships the Russian government has created a commemorative coin. The coin is a 3-ruble silver coin weighing 31.1 grams.

There will 5000 coins issued.

For competitions such as the 2012 Olympics these types of commemorative coins have been created. In London they produced a £5 to honour the games.

The Russians will be looking to improve on their placing from the last World Championships in Barcelona where they finished seventh in the medal standings with two gold, three silver and three bronze.
