Rutgers Swimming and Diving Release Promotional Video

Entering its second season under the guidance of head coach Petra Martin and its third as a member of the Big Ten Conference, the Rutgers swimming and diving team released an in-depth video of the program. The four-minute piece features the Scarlet Knights training, studying and preparing for the 2016-17 season.

“I would like to say thank you to John Paxton and his creative staff, the official Scarlet Knight mascot and everyone else that helped us make this video project a reality,” Martin said. “Our goal was to capture and showcase how proud our team is to represent Rutgers University. It is an honor to be a Scarlet Knight and to represent our school, athletic department and the Big Ten Conference around the globe.”

Rutgers 2016-17 schedule features five home events and showdowns with four Big Ten opponents during the regular season. The Scarlet Knights will see Illinois, Northwestern, Penn State and Purdue on the road and will compete against three teams ranked in the final 2016 CSCAA Coaches Poll (No. 18 Purdue, No. 21 Penn State and No. 25 Yale). RU will also see Ohio State at the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational in Fort Myers, Florida from Oct. 7-8.

Rutgers returns three athletes who broke school records and three who participated in the 2016 NCAA

Championships. Senior Alyssa Black finished as an Honorable Mention All-American in the 3-meter dive, while junior Addison Walkowiak and sophomore Francesca Stoppa also represented RU at the NCAA Championships.
