Ryan Andresen Set to Swim for University of Delaware in the Fall

Ryan Andresen signed an NLI to swim for the University of Delaware Blue Hens beginning with the 2015-16 season. Andresen swims for Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey and for Red Bank YMCA.

“The first time I visited the campus in the summer I loved it. My official visit just reinforced Delaware as my top choice. The location, academics, and athletics are all exactly what I was looking for.”

Andresen signed in the early period, and has continued to improve steadily ever since. He contributed CBA’s sixth-straight NJSIAA Non-Public A title in early March, helping the Colts earn the NJ.com boys swimming Team of the Year distinction.

Andresen’s top times include:

Event SCY LCM
50 free 22.08 25.47
100 free 47.91 54.66
200 free 1:43.73 2:00.82
200 IM 1:57.28

Andresen is a 5-event YMCA national qualifier, and competed most recently at the National YMCA Short Course Championships in the 50/100/200 free and 100 fly, as well as on Red Bank YMCA’s 800 free relay and 200/400 medley relays. At the National YMCA Long Course meet last summer he was part of RBY’s 8th place 400 free relay and 12th place 800 free relay.

Andresen will join fellow commits Chris Cornell and Robert Adams-Michaud in the class of 2019.
