BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lara Preacco, head coach of the Florida Atlantic swimming & diving teams, has announced the promotion of Ryan Bubb to Associate Head Coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Bubb joined the Owls’ staff as an assistant coach in 2021. In his three seasons, he has taken on a major role in the growth and development of the student-athletes and program as a whole. He has helped lead a successful transition in conferences for both teams, with the men going from the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association to the Atlantic Sun Conference and the women moving from Conference USA to the American Athletic Conference.
Over the past two seasons, with the men’s and women’s conference championships taking place on the same days in different locations, Bubb oversaw the men’s team as they took second place in the 2023 CCSA Championships and third place in the 2024 ASUN Championships.
In November of 2023, Bubb and the Owls swept their midseason Patriot Invitational for the first time in program history, with the men and women finishing in first out of eight teams in their respective fields.
