Ryan Lochte Posts First Picture With Son Caiden

After announcing the birth of his son on June 8th, Ryan Lochte has now posted the first picture with his newborn, along with his fiancee Kayla Rae Reid.

The baby, named Caiden Zane Lochte, was born at 5:46 AM on June 8th, weighing it at 7 lbs 14 oz and 22 inches.

He then posted another picture with Caiden this morning:

Lochte first announced in December that he was going to be a father.

The Rio gas station incident has left Lochte on suspension until June 30th, making him ineligible to compete at the upcoming U.S. World Trials. Despite his absence at Trials and by virtue the World Championships, we could easily see him back in competition later in the summer, say at the U.S. Open in early August.

Since Rio his lone competition has been Masters Nationals at the end of April, where he picked up four individual wins in the 100/200 IM and 50/100 back.

Hey Mike , Rio incident is not important in Ryan’s life – except that it ignited something new in him . His son will be all ears for so many other important matters of life .

Ryan has done alot for swimming. He has always been one of the most assessable Olympians. He always has valued and appreciated his fans. Never complained about the injury inflicted on him by an excited fan. He has done alot of charity work for children’s causes. He is the best!

That would be awesome if the baby had a cute onesie that said “I’d rather be in Rio destroying a bathroom, then lie about it and flee the country as quickly as possible”

If I make an incredibly public mistake that I know he or she is going to hear about someday? Yes.

The dad partied back some in the day, so don’t party none son? Meh.

Rio was a well choreographed spectacle over nothing. I’m still fuming about Feigan’s plight.

Joel, I agree a “spectacle over nothing”….but you seem again to ignore that it was a spectacle created by foolish Lochte himself. The story, I would argue, is about the quality of one’s character: I do hope Lochte has apologized to Feigen and the team for throwing them under the bus and his outlandish lies.

so many out here seem to be sucked in by the Rio Incident , instead of focusing on whats going on now . I just can’t understand that useless attitude .
