Three-time Rio Olympic gold medalist, Ryan Murphy talks about his Rise Up, Rio Moment.
Heading into the 100m at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Murphy explained that he was a little bit nervous for the race, not sure of how it would go. Going past the 50m mark, Murphy was slightly falling behind the pack, but by the time he hit the 75m mark, he realized he had a lot of energy left in him. That energy propelled him to the wall, an Olympic record and a gold medal.
“I ended up rising to the top on the biggest stage in swimming, and its something that I dreamed about for as long as I can remember, and something truly so special to me,” said Murphy.
